This veiner can also be used to make the flamboyant flower pictured below. Also known as Pride of Barbados and Gulmohar among many other names.
In nature one petal is much longer than the other four, and this is just my interpretation of the flowers. The stamens(10) and pistil are made from flower paste using the same method as in the lily tutorial, only smaller, and the calyx can be made using a five pointed petal cutter or you may use a calyx cutter with the points on the paste removed.  |
